INTRODUCTION

DON BOSCO ACADEMY - BACOLOR, INC. acknowledges the effect brought about by the pandemic in the realm of education of the young. Hence, it is a commitment to make education and evangelization a primary concern and direction.

As the “new normal” in education continues to unfold, it is our hope that Bosconians will continue to be adaptable, responsible, resilient, and dutiful learners. Educators will likewise continue to do their best to be committed, passionate, and capable.

OUR PROGRAMS

Emergo aims to provide the Bosconians a safe come back to school for a Modified Progressive Expansion Face–to–Face Classes for School Year 2022 – 2023. The decision is based on the reality that every young person is not an isolated but social being. Thus, he learns best when physical, emotional, social aspects of life are involved. With fervent prayers to God, dedication to duty of educators and students with the support of parents and guardians, School Year 2022-2023 will be a safe and fruitful year for our Bosconians.

CORE VALUES & PRINCIPLES

The Salesian Education of Don Bosco Bacolor aims for the total well-being of the young to become servant leaders – good Christians and upright citizens. It is inspired by St. John Bosco who created a system that develops the whole person – the Preventive System that is based on reason, religion, and loving-kindness.

POLICIES

The Don Bosco Academy Bacolor Student Handbook will still be in place. Online Distance Learning Policies and Guidelines/ Data Privacy Agreement between the school and home are also defined. In addition, health and safety protocols are added to ensure the safety of everyone while in school.

EDUCATION BY EVANGELIZATION

EMERGO gives value to the religious formation of its stakeholders especially our Bosconians alongside their academic growth.

The essential role of Masses, prayers, and devotions for friendship with Jesus and religious formation will be guided by the Pastoral Affairs Office.

Christian Living will provide an opportunity for Bosconians to reflect on and express more about their faith experiences. Recollection/retreats will be an added venue to strengthen their friendship with Jesus. Sunday Gospel-based reflection of the Word of God & Life will bring the Gospel to the domestic church at home.

The Guidance Program will conduct formation activities/lessons for the personal well-being and social growth of Bosconians.

The Youth Group Clubs will provide opportunities for Bosconians to enhance their giftedness and talents to lead and serve their fellow Bosconians.

LEARNING CONTINUITY PLAN

Don Bosco Bacolor will implement Modified Progressive Expansion Face-to-Face Classes (2-3 days) with Online Distance Learning (Synchronous & Asynchronous) for School Year 2022-2023.
